Last Saying Of Christ: Introduction
Last Saying Of Christ: Introduction
Every word that was said by Jesus from the time of his birth on Earth to his resurrection to heaven is very important. So, when he was on the cross suffering he said 7 very important sayings which might be common to hear but have some deep meanings which might be necessary to live a godly, holy and a happy Christian life. When we picture Jesus on the cross, we can see him facing the cruellest treatment but he still cared for others first. In the first sentence He prayers to forgive all our sins, in the second He saves the thief, in the third, He makes sure about His mother's happiness. In the next 3 sentences He prayers and cries out of pain. But in the last sentence, you can see is He totally hands over His soul to the Lord for the purpose He was born on this Earth TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS. They are as follows:-
- Luke 23:34: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
- Luke 23:43: Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.
- John 19:26–27: Woman, behold your son. Son, behold your mother
- Matthew 27:46 & Mark 15:34 My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?
- John 19:28: I thirst.
- John 19:30: It is finished.
- Luke 23:46: Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.
So, for the next 7 days, we will meditate on the last saying of Jesus Christ on the cross. AMEN.
