Last Saying Of Christ: 2nd Saying
Last Saying Of Christ: 2nd Saying
Read: Luke 23:43Jesus's second word on the cross was (Luke 23:23) Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” So, this saying of Christ mainly teaches us to believe in him no matter what the cost.
Like Job had complete faith in God no matter what the temptations were even though his friend doubted him, he lost his children, his wife left him, he got an untouchable disease, lost all his wealth and livestock. Even though he went through all of these problems he still didn't stop trusting God but instead he was rewarded for his faith and trust. like Job, we have to have complete faith and believe in him no matter what circumstances. For example, you are in a drama concert and after seating all you can see the red curtain and it is taking a lot of time for it to begin but finally, it opens and you enjoy an entertaining show. in the same way, the curtain is equal to our temptations we only see our temptations but we do not see what a beautiful life is after overcoming these temptations.
Here before Jesus says this another thief says if you are the messiah then save yourself and us in here the other thief tests or doubts Jesus and Matthew 4:7 says that thy shall not test the Lord your god but the other slave knows and believes that Jesus is Messiah and holy and innocent so then Jesus says that today you il be in paradise with me.
So, the thief believed and trusted in Jesus even though he was on that painful cross he kept faith in Jesus. During this holy season, most of us face temptations and spiritual warfare let us overcome these temptations by keeping our whole faith in Jesus alone and concentrate less on these problems and more on the blessed plans that God has planned for us after we win our temptations and spiritual warfares. AMEN
