Road Trip Of Life

Road Trip Of Life

Read: Matthew 16:24-26

Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for? (MSG Version)

We all have been on road trips if not at least a long journey only on road. There are ups and downs in every journey. So is it with a believer? With many tensions and problems to face (no one can say they haven't been through one or will not go through because being a believer is not easy. But do not be discouraged by that but remember after every pain comes with a reward).

Every believer has a journey but the destination is the same to be a part of his kingdom. Some maybe Job's, some Esther's and some like David. They had nothing to fear because God was their driver/protector/guide. So is it with us, you will have nothing to fear if you make God your driver through every situation he will lead you and guide you.

Imagine you and your friends/family have decided to go on a road trip. You won't just immediately pack you bag, start your car and leave. No right? you will first plan, arrange and then leave. Likewise, God has already pre-planned your life in such a way that you won't lose your way or get lost. But this plan is definitely one with a purpose And this plan cannot be changed at all, because it was decided before you were even created. Here’s what we tend to do: When we become believers in Christ, we give God the driver’s seat and then quickly hop into the backseat and become passengers. We regularly give him advice, like, “No, turn this way." " Stop." " Wait." 'Faster! I want to go that way." "I want to see that sight." Remember one thing when you surrender your life to God (Make him the driver of your trip), you have made him in charge of your life. Do not worry he won't allow anything bad happens to you but whatever happens, is for your own good.

Are you assured that allowing God to drive is best? If so, I challenge you to let God take the wheel. This can be hard, especially when life is tough and you’re not sure where the road may lead. However, moment by moment, you must choose to trust Him; you must let the problems go then you’ll find peace, rest, comfort, advice and love filling you up. You’ll also stay out of the emotional and spiritual issues in your relationship with God—and you’ll get to sit in the passenger’s seat and enjoy that refreshing drink and the drive. Could there be anything better? So, let god drive your life, holy spirit be your GPS and Jesus be the manager of your Road Trip Of Life. AMEN
